Redario arises from the idea of constructing a space outside of productive logics, while in the process traditional handmade productive activities are brought to light as a design tool. The project mobilises the contact of a network of local practices. Through the fishermen’s guilds of the coastal towns near Alicante, the main material is obtained: old fishing nets. This material is no longer useful for what it was created for, such as the space of the old Tobacco Factory where the redario is built, but nevertheless useful for us.

In Redario there are no age limits, the youngest ones enjoy every day. The adults have a great time... why does it seem that it’s been a long time since anyone climbed a tree?

Designing is learning ways of doing, sharing them and keeping them alive. The Redario is an architecture that arises from the transmission of knowledge and allows us all to create a place to rest, a place to enjoy, a place to play.
