inés is an architect, designer, and teacher based in London, with Madrid as her hometown. As a maker, she focuses on carpentry with a craft-based approach, and in her research she is driven by a curiosity for the hidden narratives within urban landscapes, the quiet resilience of underground spaces, domesticated nature, and the elegance of structures, machinery, and care.
Her work delves into the intrinsic qualities of materials. Celebrating the balance between heavy labor and gentle precision, she reveals contrasts in her practice, inviting deeper contemplation of the unseen order within our environments and the beauty found in overlooked spaces. She works primarily with wood and silver sculpture, complementing these with 3D scans, resin, wax, and malleable materials that navigate the transition between physical and digital realms.
Inés is co-founder of the awarded collective La Cuarta Piel, whose work spans a range of projects crossing from public programming to installations that generate bold spatial interventions, always designing processes and human interaction.
Both the personal and collective practices feed into her teaching methodologies. Spatial design and urban research bring creative and technical expertise, as well as a hands-on approach, to the classroom, becoming tools to question established narratives.
She is an architect who graduated from ETSAM, Polytechnic University of Madrid, and UA University of Alicante, Spain. She studied abroad for two years—one in São Paulo, Brazil, with the Magalhaes Scholarship, and completed her dissertation in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with the Santander Cooperation Scholarship.

................................hi, this is inés and I am forklift certified!
Among many other qualifications, this one makes me really proud — being a woman in the construction world means having to constantly prove yourself to the people in charge in the industry, instead of only using words I started using tools and making myself valued through the knowledge for them, for the machinery and for the materials.
