The chair project arises from thinking about architectures that are built buried, about something that allows itself to be shaped by the place in which it is executed. The form and the action in situ seek to subvert the designs standardised by the values of mass production, thus creating new objects charged with the affections of the particular, the non-optimised, the non-productive, and the imperfect. The model taken is a chair that we all know, as it is probably one of the most commercialised today. Thus, a journey is understood that goes from Bauhaus design, IKEA, and Chinese factories to the beach of El Altet. After a process of months, after prototyping one leg, and then another, an assembly is finally born in the form of a chair, which stays with us only for a couple of days before disappearing to be buried, covered forever by the pour that encloses it when unearthed.

A material that does not follow the basic logic for constructing a chair is chosen: plaster, already tested and giving good results with the leg prototypes. A material with a heavy appearance but light after two weeks of drying. It sets quickly and adheres easily to the vegetal framework. The liquid plaster, in 1:1 proportions, manages to reach every corner of the formwork, as well as to adhere to that first layer of sand with which it comes into contact.
